Enter through the opulent Rosewood Hotel or Flamingo Room and make your way to the bar down a mirrored corridor draped with silver curtains and splashed with vibrant, energetic murals.
These collaborative artworks have been created by a group of established South African artists… Alexandra Ross, Hedwig Barry, Pebofatso Mokoena, David Rubinstein, Elizaveta Rukavishnikova and Marcel Du Plessis
Not only do they exude the joyful spirit that lies at the heart of Perlage, but they make stunning backdrops for photo ops too. Behind the bar, another large mural explodes in a shower of gold confetti alongside a wonderfully eccentric sculpture, a playful artist’s interpretation of a giant champagne bottle.

Krystian’s skill, expertise and almost two decades of experience in creating the “intimate and personalised experiences that guests want”, are an essential part of his meteoric rise through the Tashas Group ranks. He started as Flamingo Room Bar Manager and mixologist in 2017 and is currently Beverage Director for the Group. Not only is he the custodian of the award-winning Galaxy Bar and now Perlage, but he also brings his innovative creativity and vast knowledge to overseeing the beverage offering the Group’s many successful brands including Flamingo Room, Avli, Galaxy Bar, Bungalo34 and tashas. He is also a passionate cigar aficionado and has authored a guidebook, The Cigar Diary (2020).
